Mrs. Tarah Gilman
Hi! My name is Tarah Gilman. I've grown up in North Ogden for most of my life. My family has moved a couple of times but we always seem to find our way back there. I have one older sister and two younger brothers. After graduating high school I moved up to Logan to attend Utah State University. I absolutely loved my time at the school and fell in love with the small town. While in Logan I did pick up some extracurricular activities, such as rock climbing. Although I am terrified of heights, I started to really enjoy climbing and would look forward to any opportunities to go. Some of my other hobbies include hiking, baking (anything with chocolate), skiing, doing crafts, and spending time with my family and friends.
When I began college I knew that teaching was something that I was very passionate about, so I was excited when I was able to start the program. Towards the end of my program I was able to complete an internship in a kindergarten classroom at Edith Bowen Laboratory School, and I finished my education student teaching in a 4th grade classroom at the same school. I graduated from Utah State this Spring of 2015 with my bachelors in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I was so excited when I discovered Lakeview Academy, and even more excited when I was offered a position here. I'm really looking forward to this new year and can't wait to meet all the students and parents!
